Trump-Pence Schedule for July 5th, 2017

Today, President Donald J. Trump embarks on his second trip abroad. The President will make his first stop in Warsaw, Poland where he will meet with President Duda of Poland and speak with 12 Central European, Baltic, and Western Balkan leaders at a summit of the Three Seas Conference. The President will then travel to Hamburg, Germany for the G20 Summit. As the President travels abroad, he will look to promote American prosperity, protect American interests, and provide American leadership.

On Monday, President Trump announced the Air Traffic Control Reform Initiative saying, “America is the nation that pioneered air travel, and with these reforms, we can once again lead the way far into the future. Our nation will move faster, fly higher, and soar proudly toward the next great chapter of American aviation.”

President Trump has dedicated this week to addressing America’s crumbling infrastructure. The President will announce his Administration’s infrastructure plans this week on air traffic control, addressing the inland waterway system, and improving project efficiency.

President Trump issued a statement of support for the passage of the substitute amendment to the Financial Choice Act as a necessary and important step in moving financial reform legislation through Congress.

President Trump announced his intent to nominate several individuals to key positions in his Administration.

President Trump hosted French President Emmanuel Macron for a working lunch yesterday at the official residence of the United States Ambassador to Belgium.

Yesterday, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump met His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican. The President said it was the “Honor of a lifetime.”

President Trump met with His Holiness Pope Francis and Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin. In their meetings, the President focused on how the United States, the Holy See, and the international community can work together to combat terrorism.

After visiting the Vatican, President Trump participated in bilateral meetingswith President Sergio Mattarella of Italy and Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni of Italy.

First Lady Melania Trump visited the Bambino Gesu Children’s Hospital anddelivered a statement saying, “I want to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the hospital, who all do such beautiful and critical work.”
