On Monday, May 22, President Trump arrived in Israel and was welcomed by President Rivlin of Israel. Shortly after arriving, President Trump and President Rivlindelivered remarks.
Later, President and First Lady Trump met with Prime Minister and Mrs. Netanyahu at their home in Jerusalem. President Trump and the Prime Ministerdelivered remarks where the Prime Minister said to the President and First Lady, “You are always welcome here.”
During their meeting, President Trump spoke of America’s desire for peace for Israel and how Israel and the United States have a friendship built on a shared love of freedom, and a shared belief in human dignity.

Today, the Office of Management and Budget is announcing President Trump’s budget for fiscal year 2018. President Trump’s proposed budget shows respect for the people who pay the bills and puts taxpayers first. The budget’s combination of regulatory, tax, and welfare reforms will provide opportunities for economic growth and creation.
The nomination of Kevin K. McAleenan, of Hawaii, to be Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection was sent to the Senate yesterday.
Yesterday, President Trump declared that a major disaster exists in the State of Mississippi and ordered Federal assistance to supplement State and local recovery efforts in the areas affected.
